The Cincinnati Reds edged the New York Mets in 10 innings at Riverfront
Stadium by the score of 7 to 6.
Both teams were tied at 6 runs apiece after nine innings. Cincinnati came out
the victor in the 10th inning. Tony Perez ripped a solo home run (his 9th of
the season) making Cincinnati victorious to the delight of the the home town
crowd. Cincinnati had a total of 10 hits for the game.
The winning pitcher was Will McEnaney(5-2) who allowed no runs in 1 inning.
The losing pitcher was Ken Sanders(0-1) in relief. He allowed 1 run and 1
hit in 2/3 of an inning.
