The streaking Cincinnati Reds defeated the slumping Houston Astros by a score
of 6 to 3 at The Astrodome.
Gary Nolan(7-5) gave a fine effort for Cincinnati. He was reached for 9 hits
and no walks in 8 innings. Nolan got relief help from Rawly Eastwick who was
excellent in relief and gained credit for his 3rd save.
Larry Dierker(8-7) took the loss. No one has been able to stop Cincinnati
lately as they lengthened their winning streak to 8 games.
