Right fielder George Foster slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI at RiverfrontStadium where the Cincinnati Reds beat the San Diego Padres by the score of 8to 2. Jack Billingham(3-1) gave Cincinnati a solid outing. He went 7 and 1/3innings allowing 7 hits and 1 walk. Cincinnati finished with 12 hits whileSan Diego ended up with 8. Sonny Siebert(2-3) was the losing pitcher. He was hit hard and gave up 7 hitsand 5 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
